AVG Detecting LogMeIn As Virus

  • I confirmed this with LogMeIn after having a problem with a system.

  • we too have had this problem just today.

    Had to disable resident sheild just to get it working

    I am so over KES right now.

  • To be fair, most AV packages flag different executables as malware in error at one time or another.

    Granted, the timing could be better for this.

  • The free version of AVG just started doing this too. I am the designated tech support for my family, and just received a frantic phone call from my father asking what he should do Smile

    I use LogMeIn and AVG Free to help them out across the miles.

    You can just create exclusion rules in your profiles for now.. but Kaseya should submit this to AVG.

  • Open a ticket with support. If you see the issue, let them know so they can look at your agent(s) to prepare a submission to AVG to fix it.

  • We too use logmein and we just added it to the exclusion list and we havent had an issue, hope this helps you.
