Patch management

  • We have been having some problems with the patch management, firstly I see a lot of random file corruption with the downloading of the patches.

    secondly after the patches installs, the patch scan fails with the the following errors:

    patch scan error 12029
    patch scan error 12002
    patch scan error 32788
    Patch Scan error 16419

    it only seems to happen on some workstations. We are using ISA, but each workstation has got access. After a couple of retires, the patch scan succeeds.

    Anyone else experiencing this behavior?

  • Similar fault to you (not identical).

    Try going into the local machines temp directory and deleting the xml files.

    This worked for us.

    Should add that this will also mean you'll have to do full scans and audits and wonderful things like that to get all your kaseya information on the machine back.

  • Spoke too soon. Not long after posting that started finding piles of users that didn't work for.. (Did work for some though. 1 piece of the puzzle?)

  • I had some luck with importing the proxy settings from IE (proxycfg -u for XP and netsh winhttp import proxy server for Vista and W7), but we still have a lot of errors.
