Get file from Kaseya Server

  • I put the file I want to use in my script on the kaseya server using
    "Agent Procedures"->"File Transfer"->"Distribute File"
Clicked on "Manage Files" (in the upper right)
    Clicked on "Shared Files"
created a directory and uploaded the file I want to use in my scripts
Now I can't seem to figure out the get file option in the script section to get the files from the kaseya server.
This is for computers that may only have http access to the kaseya server

Do I want to use Get Url? Get File? Get File in Directory Path?
How do I fill out Get File?
    It has these three options
    1)
Enter the full path and filename of the file to get from the remote machine*:

    2.)
Enter relative path and filename to save the file at on the Kserver. Each machine has its own private structure*:

    3.)
Enter relative path and filename to save the file at on the Kserver. Each machine has its own private structure*:

This leads me to believe this is for uploading a file from the client to the server? Thats not get file that should be put file?

  • Get file is used to get the file from the remote machine and deliver it to the server.

Think of it relative to the server... you want to get a file from the agent and give it to the server.
if you want to give the agent a file you would use "Write file"...

One would use the "Distribute File" option for just placing a file on to a number of client machines with out the need to write a script.
