Apply Monitoring set based on Agent Procedures (script)

  • Hi,

    I been rethinking our template stratagy and was wondering if it is also possible to assign monitoring sets based on variables collected by the K2 agent procedure.

    For example;

    If the machine has the process/service xyz.exe running, then add the monitoring set: xyz processes monitoring.

    Basicly looking for a bit more automation within kaseya itself Smile

    Hope someone has a suggestion.

    Thanks in advance!

  • I discussed the idea of being able to Copy Settings from a template as a script action, which would give you all of this and more, with development some time ago...

    However, they apparently have an alternative in the works.

    I hope it doesn't involve any kind of autodetection and apply, however.

  • Thanks for the feedback!

    agree on hoping the alternative method is done by scripting or selection.
    Any timeline on where we should expect more information about this?

    I think I remember something about this at the conference. Jeff Keyes was speaking about a more policy based approach, where detection will be automatic, and then you'd see it and be able to apply the policy. Great idea, and I eagerly await a policy-based function and getting away from a template approach.

    But I've NO idea when that would ship.
