We have come across some issues deploying new version of Internet Explorer and even normal updates at times where the updates fail and when we check the computer to run Windows Update locally, there is an update to Windows Update that needs applied. Once that is applied we can then apply updates normally.
I found this KB article (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/949104) that discusses the version of Windows Update but am having some issues deploying it to systems that do not have the most up to date version. There is a different file for each version of Windows as well as if a system is 32 or 64 bit. I have a procedure that will check the OS and then determine if 32 or 64 bit and will pull the correct version of the file. However that is as far as I get as I have not been able to get the executable to run,
Has anyone else come across this and how did you correct it?
We created an agent procedure that installs the latest version.

Thank you! That was what I was missing.
