How to add hidden support user. (already know how to hide the user)

  • I already have the script to hide the support user, I just need to know how to actually create/deploy the support user to the machines. My objective is to have a hidden admin account incase the user creates/changes the administrator password.

Lately, we have been having trouble with expiring passwords. I don;t know how/why, but for many, but not all, of our agents, the password for our custom admin account is expiring.

Hi. Call me stupid, but I could not find a link on the site you referenced to download the problem.

Any more info that you may have on where to obtain it would be greatly appreciated.

  • LanWorks -> I tried the link you provided, but got a "Sorry the page you are trying to reach is temporarily unavailable or the page no longer exists." page.

As David shows, it looks like NetUser is now only available was shareware for a limited 30-day trial. To be legal after that, a $49 purchase is required. We always stive to be totally legal with our software usage, so it does not seem like this one would be a good fit for us. Sounds liek it did esactly what I wanted, but I can;t afford $49 for every Agent, just to use it occasionally.

Here's a VBS script we use to set the password not to expire.

    Usage:

    cscript //b //nologo nopwdexp.vbs /domain:%computername% /user:username

    Thanks,
