Expires On date does not match

  • It seems that the license Expires On date shown in the the AVG User Inferface does not match the license Expires On date shown in KES on the Licence Extend Return screen.

    Is that expected Behavior?

    AVG license keys are managed under the covers from the KES license keys.

    Thanks for the reply. So what date should we generally expect to be shown in the User Interface? Looking at two PCs at my home-office today, the both show 08/3/2010.

  • The end user GUI will show random dates....these will change as the endpoints are in constant contact with the server which updates the licenses under the covers.

  • So what should we expect if an agent goes offline for extended periods of time? Say a pc is repurposed to a location with no kserver access? Does the local agent have the smarts to take away the AVG license when the KES license expires?

  • We don't have any way of knowing if a pc is repurposed or if the pc is just offline. The easiest way to deal with that situation is to delete the agent - then both the license for KES and Kaseya are returned.

  • That would still potentially leave a 3 year AVG license on the pc unless it is uninstalled right?
