Difference between KS Profile and Reports

  • Hi All

I have just been looking at the KES Security Reports and noticed a couple of differences between the Reported data and the configured profile, hopefully this is just an error in the report and not in the KES config.

The information below is from the Security Configureation Report for a profile called SBS-Server

Problem 1 General Option for Cookies
    SBS-Server
    General
    Quarantine
Maximum Size of the Vault 10% of Local Disk
Minimum Available Space to Remain on Local Disk 10000 MB
    Automatic File Deletion True
Delete Files Older than 30 Days
Maximum Number of files to Store 1000
    Agent Icon Menu
Display option to Enable/Disable Security Protection in Agent Icon Menu True
    KES Start Options
Run System Scan upon KES Start Up False
    Cookies
Delete and don't report tracking cookies True

When you look at the General options page of the profiel there isnt an option for Cookies, where as the Configuration report shows the detail above.

Is the report wrong or is the 'Delete and don't report tracking cookies True' option always set and just not exposed?

Problem 2 - Exclude file and Always Scan reported round the other way to the Profile
    Resident Protection
    Enable Resident Protection True
    File Types
Scan Mode Scan infectable files and selected document types
    Excluded Extensions None
    Always Scan Extensions *.tib

Scan Files Without an Extension True

In the profile I have it set to exclude .tib files and no options set for Always Scan.

Hopefully its just the reports that are wrong.

    Thanks
