Local installations?

  • It would be great if there was a way to "cache" a copy of the install files, maybe to the server so that they didn't have to get transmitted over the internet for each local clinet. Maybe a way that Kaseya could determine if there was another client on the same network it would pull the files from there and not over the much slower internet. It would also be nice if there was a local install that we could run it "on demand" so we could run it on a pc, maybe even bundle it with a base agent installer?

  • This is exactly what you can do for KES installs by setting up the File Source under patch management.

When you install the first client, it updates the server share. All other installations are then done using the information on the local server share. Makes installation on everything but the very first machine way faster.
