Windows7 support for BUDR

  • Hello

    Using last version of BUDR, we get some problems on Windows7 machines.

    When on a Windows computer, we try to launch manually Acronis, a popup appears that says that it's not compatible with Windows7.

    Acronis10 is already on the market since several months.

    When will you allow us to upgrade?

  • when you have acronis installed rename the 'treuimage.exe' to another name like '_trueimage.exe' and start the program. works fine for me.

  • It also does not support the proper VSS writer to backup Exchange 2010 while the information store is mounted. An upgrade to version 10 would be nice.

  • Here is the answer I got from our rep when I asked him for an ETA for Acronis 10:

    "We are finalizing our agreement with Acronis on version 10 so my guess would be 3-4 months (hopefully sooner)"

  • I have added an extra backup since I cant trust the acronis restore etc. I have added an usb drive to the 2008R2 servers and doing a scheduled backup to that. Just incase a restore is needed for the registries or data.
