It's not clear to me, please help me out.
I need a retention of one month.
When setting up Synthetic backup, it is needs to have at least 2 backup sets.
---------------------------You cannot combine keeping one backup set with synthetic backup. Machines with this configuration will store two backup sets.---------------------------OK ---------------------------
What does this mean ?
Does it keep the first Full + incrementals + Synthetic full + incrementals > and when a 3rd set of SF + incrementals has been backup will it remove the oldest set ?
It that case we need backup space for 3 sets.
or
F+SF+incrementals > will the next SF be created from the last SF + incrementals ?
now only 2 sets are taking diskspace
What is best practice to setup a backup cycle with 1 moth of retention using no more diskspace then needed ?

You will need space for 2 sets if you check the "delete before backup" option. This way the 1st set will be deleted just before the 3rd full backup is created.
