  • Brendan,

I've tolerated BUDR for years now ever since we originally bought Kaseya.  This whole time I have paid my maintenance and received very little in return.  I really hope people like me will be looked after with pricing...  I await the announcement.

  • This comment has been made COUNTLESS times about countless modules.

I've yet to see an RMM platform provider than actually focuses on providing top tools instead of just building their userbase.

  • Well, I still pay maintenance on 1000 BUDR  & Kaseya licenses for the hope we would get to continue to use it.   About a year ago we added a new LabTech server with 1500 licenses and 1000 Storagecraft licenses.  We have been patiently waiting for Kaseya to resolve the BUDR issues for years.  We even keep paying for the hope to get a return on all this maintenance.  The competitive upgrade better be AWESOME or I am dumping my agreement with Kaseya.  I just got my invoice to commit for a year.  I need details.

We have enjoyed running both products side by side, but a complete abandon of BUDR isn't acceptable.  Don't make us pay for maintenance and then provide nothing.

  • @far182 - Contact your rep.  If you aren't sure who that is, just let me know.  You won't lose your investment in either StorageCraft or in BUDR, and if you want to consolidate we can work out something that will make very good sense.

  • I'm hoping that the new technology alliance with StorageCraft will result in a backup solution that is stable, reliable, and regularly updated with new features - in both ShadowProtect features & functions, and in Kaseya integration features & functions.  If that happens, then I'm all for the new partnership and new direction, and I'm excited about the future.

While I have no way of knowing for sure, I have often wondered to myself if the long delays in BUDR updates over the past few years were more the result of issues within the Acronis company, and less to do with any slacking on the part of Kaseya. Knowing that StorageCraft has a history of OEM integration and partnerships, I am optimistic about a better future for us.

If there won't be any more products updates to BUDR - either from Acronis (from a product standpoint) or from Kaseya (from an integration standpoint), I'm hoping that the upcoming full product announcement and roadmap will offer some kind of license swap option - something that won't involve us having to pay any more money for what would essentially be a lateral move from existing Acronis licenses to replacement ShadowProtect licenses.

I'm looking forward to learning more details in the coming weeks.

    Lloyd
