  • One of our client is looking for Link down report in KNM .

Assume a router / switch has been live till 10 am & then at 10:45 link went down , again at 11am link was restored/ live and 11:15 link down and link up at 11:30 am.

Is there a report to see that the link was down for a period of 15 mins (ie 10:45 am to 11am)  & for a period of 15 mins (11:15 am to 11:30am)

I am using Kaseya Network Monitor 4.1 (Build 7809)

  • Hi,

There are two ways of recording the port state for a switch. You can either use SNMP traps to send to KNM when a port link is up or down, or you can use the SNMP monitor to check ifOperStatus (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8) for each switch port. Depending on the router's or switch's brand, the SNMP trap messages may look different though. I can check the OIDs needed for the traps to work for you, but I don't have physical access right now to a switch with SNMP trap capabilities.

  • Hi Tomas,

Thanks for your comment for my quire and is it possible to pull same via report.

I required a report that shows for 24 hrs status of port/link for example how many times my link goes down, report should be in graph/data table format.
