Hey Community,
We are excited to present our next VSA release - 9.5.0.26.
We have a new location for future release notes. You can find our release notes here.
Note: This release is currently available for On-Premise. Our SaaS servers will begin to receive this update tomorrow - 3/28/2020
-------
The VSA 9.5.0.26 release includes the enhancements and fixes described in the topics below. For minimum system and agent requirements, see these topics in the Kaseya R95 System Requirements Guide: Kaseya Server Minimum Requirements & Configuration and Agent Minimum Requirements.
IMPORTANT! This release requires agent version 9.5.0.16. Be sure to update your Windows, Mac, and Linux agents after installing this release.
Enhancements
We are continuing work on re-architecting the Kaseya VSA agent to support both 64-bit and 32-bit platforms, including Catalina. This initial release of macOS 64-bit agent supports Agent Status, Remote Control, and Audit (information like CPU architecture, network info, OS info, and user info). Additional capabilities will be added in future releases.
NOTE:The macOS 64-bit Agent is a new agent that can be installed in addition to existing macOS 32-bit Agents. When installed, it will use a standard VSA Agent license. The macOS 64-bit Agent does not "upgrade" the macOS 32-bit Agent - each is a separate and distinct VSA Agent, and each requires its own Agent Package.
Features that are supported in MacOS 64-bit Agent:
The new agent is successfully installed and appears in the Agent > Agents > Manage Agents tab.
- System Information - Chassis - Network Information - Motherboard - BIOS Information - CPU/RAM Information - PCI and Disk Hardware - Disk Volume - Disk Partition - Disk Share
This release includes improvements to the Agent Procedure Editor, introducing a new user interface and eliminating the dependency on Adobe Flash. The new Procedure Editor is displayed by default on the Agent Procedures and Service Desk modules.
Some usability improvements were added, now while working with the new Agent Procedure editor you can:
We enhanced the Software Management module so a VSA administrator can now manage Windows Updates settings on all Windows versions supported by VSA. It is possible now to control Windows Update settings from VSA user interface and apply them to chosen endpoints machines. Improvements that have been done in this release:
These issues will be resolved in an upcoming release.
Working well for us so far. We did need to clear the browser cache as 2FA logins didn't work until we did. Other than that, it's shown no issues so far. Still early days in terms of exploring all the options, but we are generally pleased with this release and would recommend everyone get on it ASAP.
Not sure where the rumor started but had heard the original password paste utility was going to be working with .26.. apparently not the case?
2 questions for the Mac Agent and 1 noted problem -
1) Does the default installer page automatically do the 64bit Mac agent upon download (it seems to be the same size as the package manually created)
and
2) How can you tell if the agent on a machine is 64bit or 32bit
AND, the problem so far we have found with the Mac Agent (might not be a problem if the main deploy page for the default agent does not install the 64bit package) ... The Agent Menu does not seem to be updating, so clicking on ABOUT ... does not work for us ...
Quick Q - does Kaseya Live Connect require 64-bit Windows now? Seems I get an error trying to install on a 32-bit machine - platform not supported - but works on 64-bit windows.
It broke my KBDR. Incremental's still work but full backups fail with error
Backup failed - An unknown error occurred. - There was an error parsing additional backup results for this machine. - Could not load file or assembly 'Newtonsoft.Json, Version=6.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

- Live Connect supports both platforms for Windows. I recommend creating a support ticket.
- Remote Control Paste Password: That is not the case with .26.
- re: 64Bit MAC agent - You are likely to identify the 64bit agent via the OS Build (through a custom view) as this is the Phase I of the agent. I do recommend to create a ticket on the menu portion.
We have upgraded to .26 In LiveConnect we have limited 2nd users so they can control their machine. this worked ok in .25 but in .26 we have lost the remote control option and desktop thumbnail in LiveConnect. do we need to give them more access rights?
For us, it's broken the ability to download agent packages. Even if we create new packages we can't download them, and live connect on demand is broken due to this as well. We just get this error on downloading:
"successful":false,"error":"The system cannot find the file specified."
I have a ticket open with support who just replied that they're seeing the issue on other tenants as well.
The Live Connect Remote session is prompting to continue after 3 hours. If you hit OK it closes all the sessions you have open. If you're doing something else at that time and it gets ignored you lose all your sessions. I need to remove this. Several of us stay connected to machines to watch processes that take longer then 3 hours. I had this happen twice today and it's just not an option I want at all. How do I turn this off.
Yes same for us as well, I posted here to see if anyone saw it

Hopefully, it's a quick setting we can change
I've just run into my first issue on .26. We can't change agents' Machine Groups. So if I try to move a computer from one Machine Group to another there's a wait and then an error pops up. "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Execution Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. The wait operation timed out."
Just opened a ticket so have to wait and see. This will be a problem for us as we have over 30 machine groups and use a base install to get the machines into Kaseya and then move them afterwards prior to deploying them to users.
I am seeing the same experience when I tried to rename an agent. It spins and then times out. This makes it very hard to get a simple task completed. Pretty frustrating.
I submitted a ticket as well.
Anyone seeing any issues with Kaseya Cloud Backup? we can not see any groups
Configuration -> Backup Groups
We actually noticed this issue while we were on .25 and Kaseya recommend us to upgrade to .26 as that would re-apply schema in the process.
Still broken. we had an issue with a client and had to go with a different solution to get them backed up quickly, as we cant see our existing cliet groups and cant add a new one.

Is this on an On-Prem or SaaS instance?
