We released patch 18.104.22.168 yesterday afternoon EST:
Fixed an issue that prevented Kaspersky clients managed by Antivirus to no longer update their virus definitions. This fix does not take affect until the customer reassigns the Antivirus profile. (IP-1617/PROTECT-648)
Does this mean that I can simply Re-Assign the SAME profile or do I actually have to switch to a different one?

You should be able to re-assign the same profile, with a small change, a space in the name or something similar.
I will reach out to support and see if they are aware of anymore suggestions or caveats.
