I have a customer who would like to keep track of any modification done on his SQL 2008 server. Basically he would like to keep track of anyone who modifies the database through SQL statements. Is this possible in Kaseya.
What does he want to Audit, just changes to the SQL configuration or any updates to the data within the database?
updates to data within the database
Sounds like he wants a digest of the transaction logs daily for his database. That is an incredibly bad idea. Think that SQL transaction logs are every single change that happens on a DB at any one time, and if you had a way of tracking those changes - there'd be dozens if not hundreds of emails - alerts daily? Is he understanding what he wants? I think its not the best idea ever to do what he is asking for.
