I'm pretty sure this has to be done manually through the Microsoft Store, but wanted to see how other people have handled this. We currently have 71 agents running Windows 8, most of which are Surface Pros. We would like to upgrade these agents to 8.1 in an automated fashion, but from my research, it does not sound like it's possible unless you have System Center Configuration Manager or an MSDN account giving you access to the 6 MSU files that make up the update.
How to upgrade using System Center Configuration ManagerScript to launch setup.exe using Configuration ManagerScript to push 8.1 if you have the MSUs
How are you guys dealing with this? The best I can come up with right now is creating tickets for each of the 71 agents and scheduling the upgrade with each user. This will be really time consuming and I'm hoping someone has a better way to handle it - thanks!
Hi Matthew ,
i see download links below sites..please check if its help
Does anyone have any info on this? Or if anyone has a way for me to get a copy of the MSU files, I can create the scripts and post them back on here. I just don't have an account on MSDN that allows me to download them.
Thanks Gopinath! With those files I should be able to script these installations. I'll post the scripts back here when they're done.
