Is anyone else seeing an unusually high number of failed .NET patches this month? In particular, I am seeing "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 on Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 for x64-based Systems (KB2840632)" and "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP2 for x64 (KB2844287)" fail on a lot of servers. It looks like the patch is running in the agent log for two hours and then Kaseya gives up and on moves on to the next patch.
It looks like this one is Microsoft's fault. If you look at the patch command line settings in kaseya and Microsoft's KB article for both of these patches, the quiet install switch is set to /q. If you download the patch and run with /?, the switch is listed as /quiet. Change this line on both patches and they will install successfully.
