Changing the File Source location to a NAS device

  • Hi, I'm needing to know if it's is possible to change the full path format in of the local directory field under File Source, Patch Management to \\NAS Device address instead of full path format, such as c:\shareddir\dir.

    Thanks

  • The patchstore needs to be on a server/desktop running a Kaseya Agent.

If you have the NAS share assigned a drive letter on the machine running the Kaseya agent, this should work.

  • I've asked this in another thread but how does this work if no user is logged in to the server. The NAS will be only assigned a drive letter at logon.

You currently can't have the NAS as a file source at all. The file source has to be local drive on a machine running a Kaseya agent.

The way to possibly to work around this problem is by having the Kaseya Agent run as an account other than the SYSTEM account. That way you'll be able to map drives correctly. I've not tested this at all however...
