Windows PowerShell 1.0 (KB928439)

  • I am seeing that Windows PowerShell 1.0 (KB928439) is listed as an available patch (update) in the Feature Pack (Optional - Software) section. It has a release date of 24-Mar-2009

I am wondering if folks are approving it for installation/deployment? Or denying it?

If you are approving/deployign it, have you experienced any related issues?

    Thanks in advance.

All of my endpoints have it installed - no problems at all!

  • Apparently our patch approval guy accidentally approved this and we had it roll out everywhere. No problems, just confusing as to where it came from for a while haha.

  • Michael and LANWorx,

Thansk for sharing. Based on your feedback, I suppose I will go ahead and Approve for installation.

  • We're planning on using PowerShell to do any client-side scripting, so we're allowing this.

Plus, very shortly a lot of administrative tools are going to rely on it. Exchange 2007 and SQL 2008 are already bringing it onboard.
