Is it possible to set the email address of an Alert to the email from the Portal Site

Can an Alert send the email to what ever email address is registered from the Live Connect profile page for an agent.

Have seen mention of the variable   #vAgentConfiguration.contactEmail#      can this be then entred as the email address in the Alerts page.

Looking for somehthing along the lines of a low disk space warning sending an email to the owner of the Agent machine.

(more of a self managed service...)

  • You could use a script to send the email and have the alert kick off that script tho ... again providing the email address is actually there in the first place ...

  • If the user enters this information on the End-User Portal, then it would be stored along with the machine information. By default it is blank, so the VSA does not have this information unless it is explicitly set.

    Assuming that the user entered this information, then the monitoring / alert mechanism would need to have the option to pick up this information so the message could be routed as you are asking. I would submit a feature request to Monitoring / Alerts.
