Microsoft Security Essentials

  • This script will install and update Microsoft Security Essentials silently. It works whether a user is logged in or not. It also removes the shortcuts so you don't get "what is this?" questions. This version is for XP 32-bit, but can be easily modified to cater to other systems.

  • Not a preferred solution, but it has some uses. I got the switches from: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/msestart/thread/a944fa0a-db4c-43da-affb-ab21eb9a4d65

  • Apologies for the incorrect info.

I can't foresee having many MSP clients working from home premises though. Perhaps in your market this is not the case.
