Run script at initial agent check-in

  • I have a script we run for agent customizations the first time a check-in occurs.

Anyway to schedule this automatically when a machine checks-in? Is there a routine somewhere that K uses when it does it's initial audits and such?

  • Here's how you accomplish this:

Go to Agent Tab->Create, create an agent template.

Set any agent template settings you desire. This includes script(s) to be ran. About everything but monitoring can be configured via a template.

Go to Agent Tab->Deploy. Click on Create Package. Complete the steps being sure to select your agent template on step #4 on the package creation process.

Note: The template is only copied to the deployment package. Any changes post deployment will not take effect without recreating the deployment package again.

  • I have found that Set Credentials don't pass from the template to the Deployment packages either. Very frusterating
