Running nonav silently!

  • Trying to quietly removing SAV, but can't get it working? Well, here you go:

    First, Kaseya script:

    Script Name: NoNav
    Script Description:

    IF True
    THEN
    Write Script Log Entry
Parameter 1 : Starting NoNav script
    OS Type : 0
    Get Variable
    Parameter 1 : 10
    Parameter 2 :
    Parameter 3 : temp
    OS Type : 0
    Impersonate User
    Parameter 1 : [username]
    Parameter 2 : [password]
    Parameter 3 : [domain]
Execute Shell Command - (Continue on Fail)
    Parameter 1 : mkdir #temp#\nonav
    Parameter 2 : 0
    OS Type : 0
Execute Shell Command - (Continue on Fail)
    Parameter 1 : copy \\yourlocalserver\share\nonav2.49 #temp#\nonav\
    Parameter 2 : 0
    OS Type : 0
Execute Shell Command - (Continue on Fail)
    Parameter 1 : start /b #temp#\nonav\nonav.bat -silent
    Parameter 2 : 1
    OS Type : 0
    ELSE

    What does it do?
    1. Creates a temporary director for the nonav files.
    2. Copies the files off a local server.
    3. Start the nonav batch file without a window using the silent switch.

    What else is needed?
You need a copy of nonav249.exe. You can google for it...

Extract the contents of the exe (using winrar or similar tool). Copy this folder to your \l\localserver\share\

add a line to the top of the nonav.bat file that says"

    cd c:\folder\nonav\

This will change the folder context in which the script is run, so it will find all the other files needed for nonav to do its job.

If you don't want to do a reboot, set the "REBOOT" value in nonav.bat to 0

Script exits immediately, while the batch file may take 5-10 minutes to complete ...

edit: added "Impersonate user" to allow script to run while no-one is logged in.

  • Awesome script, thank you. I just took over a network with a completely frelled up Symantec 11 install, this will help me clear it out of there much more quickly.

  • Thanks for this. Knew about nonav but not 249. Will be handy for an upcoming KES migration.

    Regards,
