Vista hibernation

  • Hi All,

I've created a very basic hibernation script for Vista computers. The popup appears, I click "No". System hibernates OK, but when resuming the popup is displayed again. I would like to get rid of this second popup after the resume.

    Script Name: Vista_Hibernation
    Script Description:

    IF User Response is Yes
Parameter 1 : Please note that your computer will now enter hibernation. Would you like to continue working ?
    Parameter 2 : 10
    THEN
    Send Message
    Parameter 1 : Hibernation aborted.
    Parameter 2 : 1
    OS Type : 10
    ELSE
    Execute Shell Command
    Parameter 1 : shutdown /h
    Parameter 2 : 1
    OS Type : 10

    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Change the last step to use Execute File/Continue Immediately rather than Exec Shell Command. Kaseya looks for that step to finish before marking the script as successful, so when you hibernate the machine, it thinks that the script never ran and runs it again.

  • Can I place an order?
Checking first to see if hibernation is enabled.
Checking to ensure there is enough free space on the drive to allow hibernation to be enabled if it is not.
    Enabling it.

and then continuing with your script!
    Please post when done.
