  • Yes. I have a script that says:
    %windir%\system32\defrag.exe %systemdrive% -a -v >> #temp#\analyzedefrag.txt

The problem you may be having with %logonserver% could be:
    1) If no-one is logged on, the variable does not exist
    2) The user context running the script does not have access to write to the destination directory.

It's pretty easy to check. Write the %logonserver% variable to the script log, and see if it shows up correctly there... If it does, then use "impersonate user" and enter in credentials of someone who can write to the destination.

  • If I enter these 2 commands in a command prompt:

    D:\Data>echo %computername% > server.txt

    D:\Data>echo %logonserver% >> server.txt

My resulting text file is as such:

    PAUL-XCCUBE
    \\TECHIIDC1

The 1st entry is my workstation that I am working from.

The 2nd entry is our domain controller.

    Wink
