SCripts from the training videos - WHERE ARE THEY?

  • In the Kaseya training videos, there are MANY great scripts they use to demonstrate setting up templates and assigning scripts.

An example is the script they show to disable security center. Another is a script to have the support user NOT show up as a logon option.

Where ARE these scripts? If Kaseya has them, why aren't they being made available to it's customers?

I agree, an repository for scripts (other than the forum) would be great. For now those two scripts you were after:

Script Name: Make support user hidden
Script Description: This script will add a DWORD value with the value of "YOURSUPPORTACCOUNT" and data to 0. After a reboot, the PC will no longer display the "YOURSUPPORTACCOUNT" at the welcome screen

    IF True
    THEN
    Set Registry Value
    Parameter 1 : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\YOURSUPPORTACCOUNT
    Parameter 2 : 0
    Parameter 3 : REG_DWORD
    OS Type : 0
    Set Registry Value
    Parameter 1 : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList\YOURSUPPORTACCOUNT
    Parameter 2 : 0
    Parameter 3 : REG_DWORD
    OS Type : 0
    ELSE

And to disable security center alerts: (note I haven't been able to get this working in Vista yet)

Script Name: MS Security Center Alerts - Disable
Script Description: Disable security center alerts

    IF True
    THEN
    Set Registry Value
    Parameter 1 : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify
    Parameter 2 : 00000001
    Parameter 3 : REG_DWORD
    OS Type : 0
    Set Registry Value
    Parameter 1 : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\FirewallDisableNotify
    Parameter 2 : 00000001
    Parameter 3 : REG_DWORD
    OS Type : 0
    Set Registry Value
    Parameter 1 : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\UpdatesDisableNotify
    Parameter 2 : 00000001
    Parameter 3 : REG_DWORD
    OS Type : 0
    Set Registry Value
    Parameter 1 : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\FirewallOverride
    Parameter 2 : 00000001
    Parameter 3 : REG_DWORD
    OS Type : 0
    Set Registry Value
    Parameter 1 : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusOverride
    Parameter 2 : 00000001
    Parameter 3 : REG_DWORD
    OS Type : 0
    ELSE
