New Line Feed when writing to script log

  • When I write a file to the script log, is there a way to add a new line in the script entry?

For instance, I have file that writes:
    Update 1
    Update 2
    Update 3
    Update 4

When that file is written to the script log, I got Update 1 Update 2 Update 3 Update 4

I've added \n\r to the file but it didn't help.

    Thanks in advance.

  • You could try placing some HTML tags in the line that writes to the script log. For example to write a log with some line breaks:

    <
    >Script Log with a break <
    >
    Line 2 Output <
    >
    Line 3 Output <
    ><

  • Thanks very much!

All I had to do was add:

at the beginning and end of the text file and it worked great. It interpreted the the Unix line feeds as normal after that. There was no need for the HTML breaks. Although that got me thinking that you might be able to do some other formatting in there.

  • @mgray do you remember what you put in the text output to get Agent Procedure log to do line breaks?  The solution is empty above (at least for me!).

    Thanks!
