Scripting Masters

  • I am looking for a script that will shut down users machines. Easy yes, hard part is I need it to prompt the users first if its ok to shut down. I tried the shut down command with the switches and it doesn't work. All workstation are xp pro.

  • If - USER RESPONSE IS YES (Post a question in the area here and allow it to sit for 5 or 10 minutes)
    THEN
    Execute shell command - Shutdown -r
    ELSE
    Do Nothing (or alternatively have it reschedule itself for another hour later)

    That should be shutdown -s. -r is reboot.
