User logon notification

  • Hello,

Does anyone have a script that will send an email if a certain user logs on to a certain PC? For example, if user "jimmy" logs on to "server" send email to support@company.com Thanks in advance.

  • I actually found a workaround without using Kaseya. I have downloaded a simple SMTP program called "BMAIL" which allows me to send messages via my external mail server rather than using built in SMTP. I then created a logon script for that user with the following:

    bmail -s SMTP Server -t TOADDRESS -f FROMADDRESS -h -a "Subject" -b "The user %username% has logged onto %computername%on %date%at %time%"

    Works great!!

  • I was just thinking about creating a monitoring event for those specific users and then triggering a script on that event number. I also use bmail for some SMTP tasks. It's a nice utility to have in the toolkit.
