I am trying to write a script to copy a small directory (9mb) to a specific location on mac but having trouble. I need to copy it to:

/Applications/Adobe Illustrator CC 2017/Plug-ins/

I tried zipping the directory, using kaseya script (write file) to place the zip on the computer. Then use the 'unzip file' step to unzip it to that directory but it's not working. I think its because that a protected directory and would require credentials to write to it. Any thoughts on a way around this?

  • I also tried using the execute command shell and using 'sudo' but that didnt help.
  • I also ran into a problem when the directory had spaces in it (putting quotes around the path didnt help).

I hate mac scripting!!
