Desktop Screenshot Capture

This question is not answered

I wrote a very simple procedure to Capture a Windows 7 user's Desktop every 10 minutes, but it doesn't work...

Whether it is run manually, or scheduled, it never creates any .JPG files in either the "Documents" folder or the "Get Files/Screenshots" folder...

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Anton

  • If you use the Screen Shot button in Quick View does it work this way?

  • Yes, it does...  Just not when scriped either manually or on a schedule...

  • Anton, are you using a custom script that sends down a binary (e.g. cmdcapture.exe) or using the custom step that we ship with Kaseya "Capture Desktop Screenshot"?

  • Hi Ben!

    We're using the one shipped with K2...

  • Can you run an export of your procedure and paste it in here or somehow attach it ?

  • <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

    <ScriptExport xmlns:xsi="www.w3.org/.../XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="www.w3.org/.../XMLSchema" xmlns="www.kaseya.com/.../Scripting">

     <Procedure name="Get Desktop Screenshot" treePres="3" id="913191965" folderId="33743418715415517348124615">

       <Body description="">

         <Statement description="Captures a Desktop Screenshot for Windows or OS X. The screenshot is saved in the Documents tab for the agent." name="Capture Desktop Screenshot" continueOnFail="true" osType="NT4|2000|XP|2003|Vista|2008">

           <Parameter xsi:type="StringParameter" name="Parameter1" value="silent" />

           <Parameter xsi:type="StringParameter" name="Parameter2" value="" />

         </Statement>

       </Body>

     </Procedure>

    </ScriptExport>

  • Ok, that should definitely be working :)

    Please open a support ticket and tell them to assign it to Ben so I can look at your system.
