Running a batch file????

This question is not answered

hi guys i have the following code, to set firefox proxy settings.

cd /D "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles"
cd *.default
set ffile=%cd%
echo user_pref("network.proxy.http", "x.x.x.x ");>>"%ffile%\prefs.js"
echo user_pref("network.proxy.http_port", 3128);>>"%ffile%\prefs.js"
echo user_pref("network.proxy.type", 1);>>"%ffile%\prefs.js"
set ffile=
cd %windir%

Works locally on the machine...

Im trying to create it as a procedure in Kaseya. so i can push it to clients.

On the procedure i give it a name then add Run shell command, and cut and paste the code into the text field.

When i try to run it it says it was successfull , but the settings are not changing.

am I doing anything wrong?

Is there a better way to run a batch file?

Regards

Andre

  • %APPDATA% is user specific, you have to impersonate user, or run it as the logged in user.

  • I used the distribution file feature... copied the script to the machines, them from the run shell command feature i run that file.... seems to work.

    Thanks anyway

As I understood, the "run shell command feature" only excepts one line with code. All data after the first line is ignored.

    Can someone verify this?

To work around this, you could create a windows command script, and have that script copied to all target stations, and run them locally.
