I'm trying to create a simple registry change, just turning on the screen saver. I modeled the procedure after another Set Registry Value procedure that works fine. When I hit Save or Save and Close the first time, the line icon turns blue and appears fine. Then when I hit Save and Close to move on, I'm back to a yellow icon and a red exclamation point that says "The registry path is invalid." The path I am trying to use is: HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Control Panel\Desktop\ScreenSaveActive (then, of course, 1 in the data to write and REG-SZ for the type). Am I fundamentally missing something? Our VSA is pending a 22.214.171.124 to 126.96.36.199 update, if that is a factor. Thanks in advance for any input!
I think it's "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" not "HKEY_CURRENT_USERS"...
Aaaargh. Like I said...something fundamental. I was pasting from an unrelated post & didn't notice the misnaming. Thanks zippo!
No worries. I think I can safely say that we've all "been there done that".
Not me. I'm perfects. ;)
Ha! Good one.
