Find machines with duplicate serial number

This question is answered

I'm attempting to write a script that will find all machines with the same serial number in case there are duplicates. I figured the way to do it would be "SELECT * FROM <table> WHERE <serial number column>=XXXX". Does anybody know what the table and column names should be, or of another way to find machines with duplicate serial numbers?

Thanks,

Jason

  • Hi Jason,

    The Tables

auditRsltSmbios contains the chassisSerialNum & sysSerialNumber in it

machnametab has the machine names in a nice format.

    OR

you could use the vMachine view.

  • Thanks @Lingario, I appreciate the help. auditRsltSmbios and sysSerialNumber is what I'm looking for, I believe.

  • I thought there was a module that was supposed to do this too, anyone know?

  • I would like to be able to do this, but I don't understand what you did. If it is something that needs to be done in SQL if you could give me enough information so I can give it to my SQL guy that would be great. If you do it in Kaseya could you explain a little better how you were able to determine if any of your machines had the same System Serial Number as another?

    Thanks
