Avast serial update

  • Hello everybody.
We started using Avast Professional Trial version, now that we have bought the licenses we need to update the serials of all the computers.
Does anyone know how to set the serial using a script? We have 25 computers and it'll take like 3 hours to set the serial manually.

    Thanks and regards

  • This will update avast! Pro license. Just change the license key in step 3 and the e-mail address in step 6 if you want to e-mail yourself the results. Some older versions of avast! do not have the command line option to update the license key.

  • Thanks a lot rkniffin... the script worked perfectly, I only had to made the changes you mentioned...
BTW, do you how to check if the avast is in evaluation period? Sometimes tech staff forget to add the serial key and users have to create a ticket to report it.

    Thanks again

  • Glad it helped.

I don't know how to check for eval, but it's a good idea. I just e-mailed their support to see if there's a way to check. Will let you know what I find out.
