Can anyone tell me what this is doing? It appears everytime a patch is scheduled.

After any new patch gets installed, the system rescans for patches again immediately. This way you always get the latest patch results displayed, instead of having to wait for the next scheduled patch scan. The $delscan$ptc script deletes the current patch scan results to force the server to process the new scan results.
The other scripts dynamically generated to install patches are:
$get$ptc - pulls down the patch file from the designated File Source
$inst$ptc - installs the patch and schedules a Rescan

Thanks for the info. I figured it was something like that, but it was new in the script listing for 4.5. However, I just what to be sure. Once again thanks for the explanation.
