That is not quite what the Log Parser is for. The Log Parser is for going through a log file, usually plain text and look for certain item.

What you are looking for is called an "event set".

Go to the Monitoring tab, pick "Alerts" from the Function list, then change the alert function to "Event logs". In the second grey box, you should be able to pick an existing Event set, edit one, or create a new set containing the events you are looking for.

    Thanks hansen,

We've enable that but would like to "Filter" off certain events (example 1111) from being capture by alerts. Anyway to do it if it's not Paser? Smile

    Cheers.

  • You set this up just like any other event set. When you specify the source, eventID, etc, you just need to tick the "ignore" box.
