Exit alarms on reboots or agent restarts

  • Does everyone get exit alarms everytime the agent is restarted or the server is rebooted? Is this by design? Is there a way to stop the exit alarms?

  • I'm not sure what you mean by "exit alarms". Can you be a bit more specific?

  • I too am getting "the agent ... has exited alarm state" emails when a machine is rebooted. It only occurs on machines that have performance or snmp monitoring set to send an email.

  • I am getting the exit alarm emails on all services monitoring sets that are set to send an email. For example if I am monitoring SQL services, after I reboot I will get an email for every SQL service that says the service has exited alarm state.

  • This was fixed in SP1.

  • We have seen the Exit alarms stop totally after upgrading to SP1. They worked very well in 4.8 and saved us a lot of time. Does anyone know how to enable that functionality again? It seems after every upgrade we have had to have Kaseya support to reenable them. (I have initiated a service ticket and will post the results).

  • 1. Open SQL Server Management Studio.
    2. Locate kSubscribers database.
    3. Open tempData table.
    4. Set tempName=reverseNotify, tempValue=1, and a time to expireTemp field.
Reopen the table and make sure the entry has been set correctly.
You can just delete the entry to disable the exit alarm.
