After many years of complaining about not having thresholding capabilities for alerting on event log entries, Kaseya 2008 finally provides that great functionality. We are very excited.
But I have a question that perhaps someone already knows the answer to:

When creating alerts based on an "interval" or threshold greater than just one occurence, is that amount based on the entire event set or is it tabulated separately for each event within an event set?

For example, if the event set contains two events (ID# 100 & ID# 101) and we set the "interval" for alerting to 5, will it trigger if two event ID# 100 and three event ID#101 occur, will that cause the alert to trigger? Or will it wait for there to be five distinct events of one of the events?

Additive or distinct? That's the question.
