SNMP quick set gives errors (can't commit)

  • I have a 3Com 4500 switch with snmp enabled.
Found it in my lan with a system that has an agent on in.
I use the group public with password public.
When i click on "Assing Snmp" and after that ik click on the 3Com i can create quicksets.
I want to know the admin status of port 24, i found the instance number under ifdescr.
I looked uit the instance number under ifadminstatus en clicked in "Add".
After that i set it to alarm if the status is changed.
When i click on "Commit" i get an error in the page.
Did i forget to fill in somethings?

I i create a set using mib files i can create a set but i don't get data from the switch so i can't monitor.

    What am i doing wrong?

    Server is up-2-date.

  • I had a ticket open with Kaseya on SNMP Quick Sets. The engineer said that there is an issue, and that they are working on it.

Kaseya support helped me create a SNMP set manually.

When creating manually, try using SNMP version 1 instead of 2c for collecting "if" mib objects.

  • I also have a open ticket about at kaseya. But i have'nt got any response yet and i posted it a week ago.
I already tried snmp version 1 today i traid version 2c without any luck.
Well i think i have to wait for a solution.

Is there a posibily that i can get your monitor set so i can see how i have to set the values in a manually created set?
