Changing default email address in template alerts

  • Hi

I've installed the IT Services pack and it has some useful templates. However all the email addresses are set to administrator@yourdomain.com. Is it possible to globally replace those with  me@mydomain.com rather than doing each  one individually?

  • Are you on K2 or 5?

  • 5 (G1)

  • I'm actually not familiar with G1 in the least.  So keep in mind that what I'm telling you to do is based on a WAG.  However, were I going to give it a shot, I'd do it like you see below.  For this example, your website will be http://www.example.com.  Your company name will be Example Company.  Your e-mail address will be you@example.com.  And the rest you're on your own...but here goes:

    • Download the IT Service Delivery kit ZIP file
    • Extract contents of IT Service Delivery kit ZIP file to a folder on your desktop
    • Download my good friend, Notepad++ http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
    • Open Notepad++ and go to Search --> Find in Files
      • Find what:  http://www.yourdomain.com
      • Replace with:  http://www.example.com
      • Filters:  *.sql
      • Directory (The Folder on Your Desktop)
      • Click the button that says "Replace in Files"
      • Click OK
    • Once more, go to Search --> Find in Files
      • Find what:  Yourcompanyname
      • Replace with:  Example Company
      • Filters:  *.sql
      • Directory (The Folder on Your Desktop)
      • Click the button that says "Replace in Files"
      • Click OK
    • Once last time, go to Search --> Find in Files
      • Find what:  administrator@yourdomain.com
      • Replace with:  you@example.com
      • Filters:  *.sql
      • Directory (The Folder on Your Desktop)
      • Click the button that says "Replace in Files"
      • Click OK
    • Put all those files we just changed into Kaseya\Webpages\install
    • Execute Reapply Schema via System -> Configure

  • And what if I've already added the service delivery kit to Kaseya? :S

  • Again, WAG, but I think it'd still work.  Looking at the SQL, it deletes before inserts and the rest are updates.  Worst case scenario you're in the same spot you are now, eh? = )

There's probably another trick you could do with the schema files using their xml to get it to just do the updates, but I don't know it well enough to tell you.

  • I just connected to your server -- your addresses should all be updated now.
