SNMP Traps

  • Is it possible to set a Kaseya agent up to receive traps? If it is, how does one go about doing so?

  • It can't receive snmp traps.

I guess as a workaround you could probably find something which converts traps into event log entries.

  • I thought this was the case, but received a rather cryptic response from Kaseya support which hinted at it being possible but, ultimately, was talking about monitoring.

Thanks for the answer though. Smile

  • SNMP traps are not available. I have put in a request but even without them building good monitor sets and you can capture just as much as Traps will give and more.

  • ATM, what I'm trying to do is find out when a router/ADSL does down. In order to do this, I believe I either need traps or to be able to set up the frequency of my monitoring (a request about which can be found in a different thread: http://www.kaseya.com/kforum/view_topic.php?id=2117&forum_id=42). If this is not the case, I would be deligted to hear the alternatives.

    Thanks,
    Dan
