I'm having some troubles with Event Sets - specifically the Alerting Frequency. I think I've managed to get myself all confused - not an uncommon state anymore...
Does the option, "Alert when this event occurs once" mean that it will only alert once for a particular event? And, if I have the "Ignore additional alarms" option set for 1 minute does that reset the above limitation and mean that it will alert again when the same event occurs?
Yes, that does sound correct. So maybe you are not confused?
Becareful when using the other two options as the event log alert count is volatile, meaning it will reset the count if the agent service is restarted or the machine is restarted.
