still receiving an disk space alert for the "HP recovery" partition which is not needed.

I have a script that runs the following shell command which 'hides' the drive from the OS and Kaseya, change drive letter appropriately.
mountvol D: /D
That... is quite a trick. I'm amazed I hadn't seen someone suggest it years ago.
Question: How ugly does it get when you need to do the HP restore from that partition later?
.... Hmm. That is indeed pretty interesting. As I recall you end up booting to the HP recovery in order to do a restore, so I don't see how having the partition not mounted in Windows would hurt anything...
