Suppress alarms during time range

  • Is there a way to supress alarm generation between a certain time range?
We've been noticing more and more that the majority of alarms in our Alarm Summary are all occurring after hours when a maintenance script is running (i.e. BUDR, KAV, etc). These alarms are reflected in our monthly reports we give to clients, but it isn't exactly an accurate representation.
Also, regarding the scheduling in BUDR, why has the scheduling portion not been updated to allow for more flexible scheduling like KAV? Some of the backups seem to linger at times and trickle into business hours. It would be nice to be able to end a BUDR backup after 'x' amount of hours, or better yet, set a window for backups to run.

  • Hello,

On the Monitor page, look for Status > Suspend Alarms.

This allows you to turn off or surpess alarms during any hours you desire.
