Agent does not install

This question is not answered

Trying to roll out the agent to a new client, and coming across some strange things.  It's a very simple Windows network, running Trend.  We've run into all kinds of problems with Trend before, and have un-installed it.  We've confirmed it's completely gone from all machine's registry, but when we run the agent installer it does not correctly run.  On most machines it installs the program files, but does not create the service.  This is easily fixed by creating the service manually and popping it on the logon script.  But some computers it does not even install the program files, but the installation file executes without error or anything in the eventvwr.  Everything on the network is very standard, and we can't find anything wrong and rather than dismantling the network just to install the agent I was wondering if there was a way to manually install agent?  Once we have it running by manually creating the service it's fine, but I'm not sure how to go about manually installing the agent's program files.  Any help would be great, thanks.

  • How are you doing the install now? It could a credential thing. When you say "simple windows network" does that mean workgroup or just a simple client/server network?
