When you use 'Set Credential' on the agent tab, these credentials will be used when installing all patches.

If you are seeing 'Install Failed' when you schedule a patch, make sure that the credentials that you have specified have full admin rights on the machine that you are trying to install patches on.

If the credentials supplied are not valid on the local machine, the patch will download to c:\temp but will fail to execute.

You will see messages in the agent log saying

ERROR: execFileAsUser() could not run C:\temp\WindowsXP-KB885835-x86-ENU.exe because user login failed.

runProcessAsUser: Logon failure: unknown user name (USERNAME) or bad password.

To correct this issue, remove the credentials, or supply credentials that have the correct privileges to install patches.
