The information in this Article applies to:
Kaseya Agent (Versions 4.0.1.x)
Kaseya Server (Versions 4.0.1.x)
Kaseya 2004 Enterprise Edition (Versions 4.0.1.1 to 4.0.1.6)
Kaseya 2004 Small Business Edition (Versions 4.0.1.1 to 4.0.1.6)
Problem
After updating or installing a version 4.0.1.x Kaseya Agent, it does not connect back to the Kaseya Server if the computer uses a dialup network connection.
The version 4.0.1.x Kaseya Agent never connects to the Kaseya Server because it does not correctly detect the presence of a dialup network connection. This problem did not exist prior to version 4.0.1.0 and was corrected in version 4.0.2.0 of the Agent.
Resolution
Reinstall the Kaseya Agent. Since the dialup computer is no longer connecting to the server, you will need to manually uninstall the Agent and reinstall.
If you have upgraded your Kaseya 2004 system to v4.0.2.0 or later:
From the
Start
menu on the dialup computer, select
Programs -> Kaseya -> UninstallKaseyaAgent
. You do
not
have to reboot after uinstalling the Kaseya Agent.
Log in to the Kaseya web server, go to the
Agent
tab, and click on the
Create
function on the left side of the web page.
Click on the link with Machine ID of the Agent uninstalled in step 1.
In the wizard dialog box, click on the
Next
button and follow the instructions to deliver the Agent installation package for reinstallation on the dialup computer.
