Agent Procedure: ExecFile cannot execute mbam.exe because it does not exist, what am I doing wrong?

  • I wrote a script to run a full scan using the free version of Malwarebytes Antivirus from agent procedure, however Kaseya returns this error message:

    ERROR: execFile() failed because C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe does not exist.

    however, i am confident that the path is correct, as i verified it a number of times, for example:

    Anyone know what the issue is?

  • Considering is it a user based function for a program - I assume you have disabled UAC prior to executing your script?

  • Thanks for the Reply Oromero! The script registers as a SUCCESS when I used the Usercredential function, but For some reason it does not actually run the scan, instead it runs MBAM.exe in the background without actually scanning.
